my only gripe is the battery drain, if you don't know how to configure the app it go through my entire phone battery in a few hours. what I found that works for me is in the setting on the app, chose the option where location is tracked only when app is open. only issue is that you have to remember to open it if you are going somewhere. I know the battery issue could be fixed because of the app life 360, similar technology required.

Not even a half as good as promised. Buggy. I recommended the app to my wife. She started using it one day later and still she got much more experience for nothing. With lower distance walked, less area and less POIs explored she got over 30 000 exp while I was on like 2 000. Background tracking does not work at all. "Location Services activated" says the notification, all permissions granted but as long as the app is not running on the screen, no area revealed or walk distance counted.

Hi! The app has been completely renewed — everything’s improved. Please update to the new version 3.0 — it fixes all lags, reduces battery usage 4×, and introduces our new feature: City Fragments.

update if there are no places to discover (like in Hamburg, for example), city and country counts would not be updated in the journal, even if you recorded a walk in this city. also, would be great to see a list of the cities and counties, by clicking on them -- I really like the app, it makes walking an adventure. Unfortunately, it seems impossible to open 100% of the city, because lakes, golf fields and other big objects with no access are not revealed when you reach them and walk around.
